Gravity roller racks use inclined rails to allow goods to slide into storage, saving aisle space.
They are suitable for storing the same type or batch of goods, with braking devices needed for long rails.
Damping and separation systems ensure smooth movement and easy pallet handling.
They offer high space utilization, support FIFO, and are safe and widely used.
Roller Rack
Each layer of the racking has a titled rail by roller, goods can slide into the warehouse. There is no passage between rows of racks,so space is saved. But,the goods on the same, or the goods must be of the same batch. Moreover, when the rail is long, there should be Braked device to slow down the movements of the goods.
Character of Roller rack
The rail is tilted and fixed on the beam. Pallets with goods on the higher end can move alongthe rail because of gravity.
A damping system is installed to restrict the speed of the pallet. The quicker the pallet move, the damping system products more resistance.
Separation device is at the lower end, which separates the two pallets that are close to each other, so the pallets can be taken out easily.
Space using efficiency of this pallet rack is higher than drive-in rack, fulfilling the principle of “first in first out”. This type of rack is as safe and efficient as other racks and widely used in many industries.
Pallet Flow Rack
Gravity Pallet Flow Rack-Roller Rack are high density dynamic storage systems that increase flexibility and maintain the First-In / First-Out product flow from the stocking aisle to the picking aisle therefore increasing efficiency. Gravity flow racking permits dense storage by eliminating all aisles except the entrance and exit aisles.
Gravity Pallet Flow Rack can be integrated into an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) for even greater efficiency. This versatile rack design saves space, labor costs, and energy by efficiently utilizing gravity.

1.Regarding the gravity pallet racking, by using roller rail system or pallet with roller and under the influence of gravity, “first in and first out” of goods is achieved.
2.It is suitable for storing large quantity of goods with the same kind, taking full advantage of storage space.
3.It is especially suit for the goods which short quality guarantee period and can’t be pressed for long time.
4.In order to get the goods move freely, the racking should be equipped with brake if the slope is long;
5.In order not to make the goods turn over when reaching to the bottom under great dash, the lower end of the slope should be equipped with separators and buffer.
6.The loading capacity is less than 1000kg per pallet.

Below are the most frequently asked questions about Roller Rack systems, including their working principles, applications, advantages, customization options, and FIFO inventory management. If you need additional information or a customized warehouse storage solution, the Funya team is ready to provide professional technical support and project recommendations.
A roller rack is a gravity-fed storage system that uses inclined rollers to move cartons, bins, or totes automatically from the loading side to the picking side.
Products are loaded from the rear of the rack and move forward by gravity along roller tracks, ensuring continuous product availability at the picking face.
Roller racks improve picking efficiency, reduce labor costs, support FIFO inventory management, optimize warehouse space, and increase order fulfillment speed.
Mezzanine systems are widely used in e-commerce warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics centers, spare parts warehouses, retail distribution centers, and industrial storage operations.
They are particularly effective for businesses managing a large number of SKUs.
Roller racks are widely used in e-commerce fulfillment centers, logistics warehouses, manufacturing plants, automotive assembly, retail distribution, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.
Roller racks are typically designed for cartons and lightweight products, while pallet flow racks are engineered for palletized goods using heavy-duty rollers.
Yes. Roller racks naturally support First-In-First-Out inventory rotation because products move automatically from the loading side to the picking side.
Yes. Roller width, rack height, lane depth, load capacity, and layout can all be customized according to warehouse requirements.
Yes. Roller racks can work together with conveyor systems, picking stations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and automated fulfillment solutions.
Load capacity depends on the roller type, lane length, product dimensions, and rack design.
A properly designed roller rack system can provide reliable operation for more than 15 years with regular maintenance.
Pricing depends on rack dimensions, roller specifications, load capacity, storage configuration, and customization requirements.
