Medium Duty Racking for Storage

Medium duty racking use boltless design for quick assembly and disassembly.
Each layer is adjustable and supports up to 400kg with strong steel panels.
Square uprights provide stability and are widely used across industries.

Medium Duty Storage Racking

The “golden balance” for small and medium warehouses: moderate load capacity, flexible adjustment, and the fastest return on investment.

1. Product Introduction

Not the lightest angle-iron shelving, and not the heaviest and most expensive heavy-duty pallet racking, medium duty racking is the true backbone of a warehouse.

It uses butterfly-hole or diamond-hole uprights combined with P-beams or shelf decks, with a typical load capacity of 300 kg to 800 kg per level.

For e-commerce piece-picking, factory line-side storage, hardware storage, automotive parts, and similar applications, it offers the perfect balance of structural strength, storage density, and procurement cost. No welding is required for installation, and the system can be disassembled and reassembled flexibly, making it the best solution for small and medium enterprises to activate warehouse space.

Key highlights: 300–800 kg per level · Adjustable shelf height · Optional shelf decks or beams · Fast assembly · Best value for money

3. Product Details

Medium duty racking does not sell steel weight alone. It sells the reliability of its connection points.

3.1 Upright and Hole System

Butterfly holes / diamond holes: These are the soul of medium duty racking. Once the hooks are inserted, the more the load pushes downward, the tighter the connection becomes. Strong connection is achieved without bolts.

Reinforcing ribs: Multiple stiffening ribs are usually pressed into the front and side of the upright to increase bending and torsional resistance and prevent shelf deck deformation under load.

3.2 Shelf Decking and Support

Reinforced shelf deck: The steel sheet is cold-formed with folded edges around the perimeter and welded reinforcing ribs on the underside to ensure it will not collapse under full load.

Support beams: For wider shelf decks, such as those above 1000 mm, P-beams or reinforcing supports are added underneath to distribute the load to the uprights.

3.3 Base and Stability

Adjustable feet: The base is equipped with adjustable threaded feet for leveling on uneven floors.

Back bracing rods: Connecting rods are used between two or three rows of racks to form an integrated structure and prevent sideways sway.

4. Product Features and Applications

Features: The “Flexible Rack” for Small and Medium Enterprises

Assembly is easy and requires no special skills. The boltless insertion structure works like building blocks, and ordinary workers can learn to assemble it in about half an hour.

The open structure provides excellent visibility, making it easy to pick and count goods manually.

The function is flexible: today you can use shelf decks for boxes, and tomorrow you can remove the decks and add beams to store pallets. One rack can serve two purposes.

Application Scenarios

E-commerce and logistics sorting: For piece-picking goods, parcel temporary storage, and order-based picking.

Electronics and automotive parts: For small parts, screws, standard parts, and electronic components, usually with parts bins.

Factory line-side storage: For semi-finished products, accessories, tools, and fixtures waiting for assembly.

Office and archives: For files, archive boxes, and display samples.
